On May 16, 2012, The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and Tohoku Planning Forum, supported by JMEC and 16 national chambers of commerce as well as Hitotsubashi University ICS, will present GIVING BACK TO JAPAN 2: Community Leaders Report, a public forum featuring leaders of cities and towns across Tohoku, whose communities face different reconstruction issues and are at different stages of reconstruction.

The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ) announced it will again offer a Grant and Fellowship(s) for the 2011-2012 Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC 18), with a total value of up to ¥800,000.

JMEC 16 Success: Project Client Instant UpRight Hires JMEC Participant to Implement the Business Plan

Mari Yamakawa was part of a six-members strong JMEC team that prepared a business plan for Instant UpRight, a project client from Ireland, in the JMEC 16 competition. From June, right after the team had handed in their business plan, Yamakawa was asked to help Instant UpRight with contacting potential customers in Japan. In November she was hired as their Sales Consultant.
